Find a safe amount. Pick a challenge. See every step.

Answer a few questions about your pay, and this tool shows which of 30 savings challenges fit your budget, with every step laid out. Your numbers stay in this page.

1. Your pay and your safe amount

Look at your balance the day before each of your last three paydays. Subtract any bills still due. We suggest a little less than your lowest, rounded down. You can change it.

A little less than your lowest. You can also enter an amount you already know is safe.

2. Your style

3. Your short list

The average test checks the usual week. The peak test checks the biggest pay period.

Low is an average week up to about $13, Medium about $14 to $30 and High above about $30. These bands are a rule of thumb from the book Saving Challenges That Fit Your Budget, not a standard.

Enter your safe amount, then find challenges that fit.

Stack check

Test two dated challenges together from the same start date and payday. Event and chance mechanics need a separate check with your actual moves.
